Our First BFP!!

I was extremely stressed the past few weeks. It was a new start to the new year, and I was dealing with my mom being hospitalized for several days and also dealing with a lot of stress at work. It couldn't have been the worst start of a new year, and I admit I was not looking forward to what was in store for me for 2009. I felt really negative and depressed. Shawn wanted to cheer me up so we went to watch "Slumdog Millionaire" at the movie theater that evening. It was such a great movie and I came home in the best mood. Then I was thinking...."uh...why am I not getting period-like cramps yet?" My cycle is like clock-work and I realized that I hadn't been getting my usual cramps that I get days before my period and my period was due. I started to get nervous as I decided to take a pregnancy test. As soon as I took the test, the positive second line came up instantly! In about 5 minutes, the line was super dark! I started to scream and jump up and down with joy, and started to cry. Shawn was in shock! We couldn't believe what we were seeing. I wanted to take another pregnancy test so I ended up taking a total of 3 that evening. I called my mom immediately to tell her. The next morning we called my dad and Shawn's parents to tell them. Everyone was so excited for us. This baby will be the first grandchild for both our parents. Now I can say that 2009 will be the best year yet!
